Advion, Inc. Signs Reseller Agreement with Agilent Technologies

Dedicated to Science, Dedicated to You

June 10, 2013 – Ithaca, NY – Advion, Inc., a leading life sciences Systems and Consumables developer, today announced during the American Society for Mass Spectrometry Annual Meeting that it has signed a value added reseller (VAR) agreement with Agilent Technologies to market the full line of Agilent’s chromatography systems to be sold in conjunction with Advion’s expression compact mass spectrometer (CMS).  This agreement builds upon a strong relationship that resulted in the earlier release of an integrated software package which allows direct control of Agilent Technologies’ entire range of LC systems under Advion’s Mass Express CMS control and data processing software. Advion’s expression CMS has seen tremendous success within the synthetic chemistry markets since its launch in 2012, capturing >10% market share for liquid introduction single quadrupole mass spectrometers.  This agreement allows them to expand further into the global analytical chemistry market.  Many analytical chemistry laboratories experience space, financial and human resource constraints, and now Advion can offer an integrated LC/MS system that is compact, fast, easy and affordable.

According to Dr. Simon Prosser, Advion’s VP of Marketing, “Advion was founded over 20 years ago, and Agilent Technologies has played a role throughout our history whether in our own contract services business or as a partner for our nanoelectrospray sources.  Recognizing the market need for an integrated LC/MS solution, Agilent Technologies was a natural fit. We are excited by the possibilities this agreement offers.”

Integrated LC/CMS systems are available immediately for quotation and delivery by Advion and its distributors worldwide.  Advion is exhibiting at booth #123 during this week’s ASMS meeting in Minneapolis, MN.
