Mechanical Engineer

Description:
The Mechanical Engineer provides
support for mechanical design maintenance
of products that have been released to Manufacturing. Design maintenance
of products includes support for production problems, field problems,
maintenance of regulatory compliance and customer-driven customization.
Monitors production processes to aid in identifying and prioritizing problems
that develop in the course of production. Monitors failure data generated
in-house and by the customer to ascertain potential requirements for product
improvements in future designs. Participates in cross functional product
care teams to identify and resolve customer problems. Works with manufacturing
personnel in troubleshooting, training, and helping
to resolve manufacturing problems. Contributes to the writing and execution
of design/release verification test plans and reports. Creates/updates
work instructions within manufacturing to support new and current products.
Coordinates agency testing/maintenance for UL, CE, TUV and other certifications
from development through the product life cycle. Develops tooling and
fixtures for new and existing products and processes.
Requirements:
The successful candidate must
have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering/related area or equivalent
experience. Must have at least 5 years of experience in mechanical design/sustaining
engineering. New product development process experience is required. Must
have strong analytical skills and the ability to effectively communicate
to all levels of the company.
