Electrical Test Engineer

Description:
The Electrical Test Engineer
provides primary support for electrical design maintenance of products
that have been released to Manufacturing. Design maintenance of products
includes support for production problems, field problems, maintenance
of regulatory compliance and customer-driven customization. Monitors production
processes (focusing on testing) to aid in identifying and prioritizing
problems that develop in the course of production. Monitors failure data
generated in-house and by the customer to ascertain potential requirements
for product improvements in future designs. Works with manufacturing personnel
in troubleshooting, training, and helping to resolve manufacturing electrical
problems and testing issues. Participates in cross functional product
care teams to identify and resolve customer problems. Creates/updates
incoming inspection, in-process and final acceptance test procedures within
Operations to support new and current products. Coordinates agency testing/maintenance
for UL, CE, TUV and other certifications from development through the
product life cycle. Contributes to the writing and execution of design/release
verification test plans and reports. Develops tooling, fixtures and automated
testing (as applicable) for new and existing products and processes.
Requirements:
The successful candidate must have
a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering/related area or equivalent
experience with 5 years or more of electrical test engineering/sustaining
engineering experience. New product development process experience is
required. LabView experience preferred. Must have strong analytical skills
and the ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the company.
